Overnight Bircher muesli dream
If you only have a little time in the morning, or would like to take your breakfast to the office or to school/university, this excellent Bircher muesli is just the thing for you. You can prepare it the day before and it will keep for up to 3 days in a jar.
Of course, this is a very healthy breakfast. In addition to oat flakes, milk products (or plant-based milk alternatives) and fresh fruit, nuts and seeds with numerous unsaturated fatty acids (e.g. omega-6 in sunflower seeds) are included. All in all, a very rich meal that fills you up for a long time - even me.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Waiting time: 1 night
50 g tender oat flakes
15 g sunflower seeds
1 tbsp chia or ground flax seeds
1 pc. medium-sized grated apple or pear
120 ml milk or plant drink
1-2 tbsp raisins or chopped dates
2 tablespoons yoghurt eg coconut yoghurt
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 handful of berries
Grate the apple with a grater.
Mix all the remaining ingredients with the grated apple and season with maple syrup or honey.
Pour the mixture into a screw-top jar and place in the fridge overnight.
