What is granola?
This question reaches us very often. That is why we would like to provide clarification.
Granola comes from the American and translated into German means something like "muesli-like grain".
However, in the end it mostly consists of rolled oats, nuts, (dried) fruits and a sweetener.
The special thing about it is the roasting and sweetening of the ingredients.
For our granolas we use either oat flakes or the gluten-free variant buckwheat as a basis. To this we mix, for example, puffed spelled or quinoa, tiger nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds or hazelnuts and some spices such as cinnamon, salt, cardamom or tonka beans.
The dry blends are mixed with liquid coconut oil and natural maple syrup and then gently roasted in the oven.
As soon as the granola has finished baking and has cooled down, we refine some varieties with dried fruits such as cranberries or dates. Alternatively, you can add roasted peanuts or chocolate chips.
How do you eat granola?
The finished product can be enjoyed very well with yoghurt and fresh fruit. Alternatively, it also tastes wonderful as a topping on smoothie bowls, porridge, overnight oats, pancakes, rice pudding, waffles and much more.
If you're not a breakfast type, you can just eat it as a snack.
