FAQ
shipment
You can find the link to the currently valid shipping costs and conditions here .
That depends on where you live. DHL packages usually take 2-4 working days. Internationally it can take up to 7 working days. We usually ship your order on the next working day.
Yes that works. Simply select “Pickup in Kleve” as the shipping method in the online shop. You will then receive an email with the pickup information.
If you place an order via the online shop, you can pay either by AmazonPay, Amex, ApplePay, Visa, GooglePay, Klarna, bank transfer, PayPal, Sofortüberweisung or credit card. After receipt of payment, your goods will be sent or made available.
Unfortunately this is not possible as we do not have regular opening hours. However, you are welcome to place your order online and choose pickup as the shipping method. We will then arrange an appointment with you.
Unfortunately we cannot offer this for hygienic and organizational reasons. However, we now offer our recycling jars, which you can fill up in the KornKammer Unverpackt store in Kleve or in the Xantener Unverpackt store, for example.
Products
You can primarily order all products via our online shop. We are also trying to place more of our granolas in stores. You can find a list of all partners and their contact details here .
Yes, we mostly work with maple syrup as a sweetener. This is also sugar, but not refined or industrially processed. This means that there are still plenty of nutrients here!
Making granola by hand means a lot of (physical) effort and requires a lot of helping hands. Take a look at our complete production process here .
We also use high-quality and special ingredients, which are accordingly expensive. The most expensive ingredients (which also have the highest proportion) are coconut oil, maple syrup and nuts, which is why you will probably find these in very few industrially produced products. And if you do find them, then only in very small doses. For example, the almond Britta contains 10% almonds, which is a lot.
Added to this are the high energy costs - and since granola is roasted in the oven, this of course also has an impact on the product costs.
Shipping costs and packaging materials should also not be underestimated.
We have rented a bakery including storage, high personnel costs, have to pay for an oven, various insurance policies, tax consulting services, software licenses and waste disposal costs and everything else that is important for running a business. Our monthly fixed costs are correspondingly high.
All in all, it is very expensive to produce products by hand, to run your own production facility with staff and still be profitable. Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer our granolas at a cheaper price.
A little tip: firstly, we offer large bags of 1.5kg - these are cheaper per kilo than the smaller units because they are easier and quicker to fill. And by signing up to our newsletter, which is sent out once a week, you also have the opportunity to receive discounts.
You can find all allergen information either on the packaging or in the online shop on the respective product page. For example, the Jana Banana is gluten-free, but may still contain traces of gluten because our ingredients come from companies that also process raw materials containing gluten. The same applies to peanuts, for example - Jana Banana does not contain peanuts, but Almond Britta does. Since we process both types in the same room and with the same equipment, there may well be traces.
Yes, a majority of our raw materials are organic. However, we are not an organic certified company.
Granola knowledge
Granola is toasted muesli.
We make our granolas entirely by hand. To do this, dry raw materials such as oat flakes, seeds, nuts and spices are mixed and gently roasted in the oven together with oil and a sweetener. The finished product is then refined with dried fruits, for example. You can find the complete process here .
This is of course a matter of taste. We like granola best with yogurt or quark and fruit, on overnight oats, porridge, smoothie bowls or pancakes, waffles. You will find lots of great recipes on our blog .
Cool, dark and dry.
Unopened and under optimal storage conditions (cool and dark), at least 8-10 months from the production date. We usually sell our products so quickly that we can guarantee you a best before date of at least 6 months.
