The most golden milk in the world
Once you've tried it, you'll happily swap it for your morning coffee. Really now!
The name “Golden Milk” comes from the yellow turmeric spice and the drink has its origins in Ayurveda (science of life). Turmeric root is used there as a versatile remedy.
In combination with other ingredients, the drink is said to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, and it is also said to help strengthen the immune system. It also helps the liver with its detoxification function and supports the body in digestion.
I can only speak about myself now, but I recently developed a cold with a sore throat, runny nose and cough. So I drank turmeric milk every day and boom, after 5 days I was feeling great again. I've never gotten over a cold so quickly.
So there are lots of reasons why you should give this milk a try.
Cooking time: 5 min

Fry all the spices (except pepper) until lightly fragrant.
Add milk and warm. Stir everything well and add the pepper.
Once the milk is heated, sweeten with honey or maple syrup.
